Aviator stats are broken.

Hi im Sav some of you may rember me postting that avitaor stats were pooled after some testing myself and other did shortly after the release of the game.  Then sde posted that this was not the case which did not mesh with the testing we had done. So we went back and did a much more systematic and methodical series of tests on how the pilots stats and level actually effect the preformace of a group of planes. The short version is that our testing showed sde was right pilto stats are not pooled, but the only thing that effects the thier actual preformance is the aviaotrs level not how there skill points are spent. And the reason why we belived the stats were pooled was also discovered.

Now the long version.

So first we did tetsing using fighters.  We used a cv with 3 lvl 80 aviators with all of their points in intercept as our control to test agasint.  Then we used 3 aviaotrs 1 lvl 60, 1 lvl 80, and one lvl 90.  I will refer to these as a,b, and c.

In our first set of tests a,b and c had all their stat points in inercept.  The result are what one would expect. Pilot a lost badly to the test group as in the test group still had several pleanes left out of a group of 7.  Pilot b's prefromace was almost identical to the test groups and the stats on the planes themselves seemed to be the deiceding factor. Pilot c had several planes left when the last of the test groups fighters died.  This in and of itself was not suprsing and should be how it worked out.

However, our subsquent testing showed the problem.  For test 2 we reset pilots a,b and c to have full evasion. Then reran the tests agsint the control group. The results were identical down to how much health the remaing planes had left from test one. Then For test 3 the stats were set to full bomber.  Again the reuslts were identical to test one.  This was rather disturbing especially pilot b who was the same level.  Meaning a pilot with full bomber stat piloting a fighter had the same prefomace as it did when it had full intercept.

The last test we did was the most telling.  In this one the pilots were reset again but the skill pionts were not appiled so each aviator had 1 point in int/eva/bm but were still level 60/80/90.  And once agsin like test 2 and 3 the preformace was the same vs the control group. This completly floored us as you can imagin the idea that their was abslotuly no diffreance in the actual preformace of the test pilots vs the control gorup based on how their stat points were spent and that even if they wernt spent at all.

We also tested evasion of aaw and dive bomber accuracy at the same time with similar results, but the fighter tests are the easiest to show the reuslts from.

In concusion from our testing The only things that effect an aviators preformace are the teir and number of planes as well as the pilots level.  In our inital testing the pilots were all of the same level and thus gave identical results which is why we belived the stats were pooled.  Now we can say the stats are not pooled as pilot level does effect the preformace but how the aviators stat points are spent does not.
