uninstalled - too much rage

A lot of the ship balance tweaks were good ideas just implemented too heavily, CA shouldnt have as much health as BB, torps didnt need nerfing at all, SS should not be fast under water, good to increase dmg of smaller guns and decrease BBS "a bit" - being one shotted wasnt fun. But in general i dont mind the ship tweaks, its the mini maps because you just didnt think things through.

 

12v12 you get a natural spread of ships, this slightly papered over the games worst faults, which are now clear as day on mini maps, even 8v8. You can now come up against a cruiser who churns out FORTY torp salvos in a map the size of a matchbox. And because of the changes, he can fire those salvos much faster, and he has many more torps to fire. Scrap the mini maps, scrap 8v8.

 

You used to have to think about your torps, you didnt have many. I would have liked a few more, not DOUBLE - torps are now spammed.

 

VISIBILITY - NF2 should be about skill and tactics, and ship class and quality, it should not be about who can see and who cannot - it's hard to think of a more fundamental fault in this game. At least a third to a half of games are simply a matter of who has scout planes and who doesnt. One team is blind, the other side massacres them.

Do you devs seriously think this is a good mechanic? Do you think your scout plane system works well? Could you point us to a naval battle IRL where scout planes hovered over the massed AA guns of enemy ships spotting shots for their own BBs, while the enemy couldnt see any of them? It is an utterly shite system and it ruins too many games. So here's some ideas:

1) scrap recon planes entirely and increase all ships sight by 30%. Only CV has planes

2) give AA the most enormous buff imaginable. You didnt do anything to AA in this patch or any other. WHy? It leaves the slightly terrifying prospect that you think your plane/AA system is actually good.

3) Keep "recon" planes, as you call them, and make them for recon - not spotting. They take a long time to refuel, but when ready you can send them to one spot on your mini map, and then they return. You know, recon, for finding ships, not massacring them while they can't fire a shot in return.

 4) keep present system, limit ships to 2 recon planes, and DISABLE ability to adjust height - which makes them immune to auto aimed AA fire.

Ship sight - give all ships the same visibility. It now seems DDs have had a buff. So the "scouts" of the fleet are now shot by targets they can't even see. Do any of you devs actually play the game?

The rage of yet another blind massacre is just too much now, so have uninstalled, but hopefully you guys can fix this game in time - it has a lot of good elements.
