FLEET SIZE and CHAT

USMCsniper
"As a member of Several large clans on NF1 I am of course interested in the fleet system, but i have some concerns regarding how people join fleets, As it stands now each layer can have 6 or more captains named god knows what and each captain can join the fleet. This means that the true number of fleet players could be as low as 35 actual players with 4 or 5 captains each. This should be account related not captain related in my opinion. This feature was a huge part of NF1 and will be a HUGE part of this game with the tactics of taking islands etc. Your thoughts?"

"Yeah seems the chat system is the only way to advertise fleet recruitment which I can see turning into a storm of spam. My concern is fleet size and practice/drilling. I've been in small and large fleets, and the ability to play and communicate with each other made all the difference. Platoon mode is a good idea with a couple friends, but the change is short-sided... unless they are going to add fleet game modes, - perhaps some sort of ranked play. Right now everything feels real 'iffy."

1) Would love to have a battleroom area for WTB, WTS, and such like NF1
2) Manual needs to be improved. Auto on my BB Indiana is way too easy and more efficient than manual. The fact that I need to control 3 independent turret sets (1 main, 2 sub), plus the accuracy and quickness of auto makes it a no-brainer over manual. I can see when AA comes into effect this may not be the case?
3) Boats are fast and zippy. My BB appears to move faster than a NF1 frigate.
4) more ability to cstomize ur ship such as turrets and such.
..in short, keep the graphics, but add old NF back"

"1) Battle Tiles/World Map

-- In NF1, this gave the game freedom and an atmospheric feeling that pulled you more into the game. Now in NF2 (without battle rooms/world map), it seems half the game is missing, or at least I feel that way. I guess NF1 users took this for granted?

-Platoons vs Tiles?

-- When in queue for battle, you have no idea how many other players are on, no idea of matches taking place, there is no information at all. With NF1 tiles, you can see what battle rooms were open, play with clans or select people if wanted. There seemed to be more flexibility with this.

(Add an intractable world map that change the map type/style)

(Add Tiles or Change the queue system to aid more organized play)

(Add Missions -  Alternative ways to earn EXP without typical battle queue)

(Harbors – HA and Bonuses? A lot of game information is not clear and needs to be polished to help give some direction for the player) – of course things are apt to change due to Beta, but information helps more than none at all.

2) Ship Movement in Battle

-- I feel this can be polished up a bit more. Slow down the speed acceleration/deceleration. Also change the visuals of the ships to look less like race boats and more like armored ships. Visuals can be improved.

(Decrease the wave size the ships cause)

(Decrease acceleration/deceleration speed)

(Turning seems odd, unclear how big ship turn radius is/etc – Need to display information to the player about this so player can guide his/her ship better)

3) Skins

-- This is definitely something that should come later after the game is polished better. I feel it would be a win/win for both NF and the players to be able to personalize your ships and planes. Shells could be interesting also, but that might be pushing it.

(Add buyable ship skins – some with credits, most with gold)

(Airplane skins? Shell skins?)

4) Battle Start/ Battle Ending

-- After one battle, it is hard to not feel like being rushed away after fighting an epic battle just to repeat and start again. After the last ship blows up, at least give us a second to let the victory sink in and make it look like we actually achieved something. I enjoy the level up sequences, I just feel real rushed when it just pops up like it does – instantly after the last ship goes down.

-- At the start of the battle, explain what the heck is going on. Display the users or the map, something to hint at what we are doing. The game objectives are not clear and new players wouldn’t know what the heck they are doing.

(Add a game start screen or briefing to help you emerge into the battle)

(Delay the victory screen a couple seconds)

5) Zooming in and out

-- I feel this is a pointless addition unless I can zoom way out like in NF1 and really see what I’m shooting at. It would help CV players control their planes too. Perhaps cap this with your BO?

(Allow camera to zoom out more)

6) Ammo

-- Most games I’m running out of ammo. I would love to see a ship equipment that you could buy to increase your shell count. That and where is the fireworks? This made every battle feel like a war was won.

(Add more ammo types)

(Add shell storage/shell containers)"

"The thing that made NF1 special was its friendly community. NF2 feels like you're playing alone, apart from platoon no other way to find a room with friends. I don't like the game play much, It doesn't show much difference in Ship class to be honest, All the damn ships look alike. And even when you click ship info it doesn't say what ship class it is or anything to let you know its a bigger ship than you. I don't see why It takes damn near 8shots to sink a DD with a BB, How does that show BB power? if it can barely sink a DD without taking alot of damage. And the gameplay sucks. BBs can't even see that far. Where is the skills, Line battle, real SHELLS , these shells look stupid and to arcadeish. Be more realistic please. Or you won't last 6months. Why not make manual hotkey the same as NF1 so damn complicated for a 3D game."

"Ok, I think this topic needs to be started due to the ongoing issues that have plague Navyfield Resurrection of the Steel Fleet.

  1. Game stability should be a priority. Currently NF has horrible game stability. The game crashes every 2-5 games played, if a player is lucky. Please learn from this. It is amazing that players still play NF.
  2. Listen to your player base. When we said that we wanted the improvement of game stability it seems like it fell on deaf ears. So now, start from the beginning and have your code properly done and commented to make sure that your coders know what they are changing.
  3. Please test game content prior to it being released. Again, this has been an issue. We saw it with the 120 knott rentals as well as other content that was released being way too OP.
  4. With regards to moderators in game, the standards to which they hold themselves needs to be increased, especially at the head mod position. Their presence needs to be felt. They also should actually play the game, unlike the current head mod of NF who averages about 6 games a month. How can the head mod tell what is wrong with the game, or what players are abusing the game if they are not present.
  5. End game content is a must.Currently Harbor Assaults are what most players look forward to most in NF. Seeing that here would probably bring over a lot of players. However, the HA's were always bugged. Desynchs, bugged graphics and other issues plagued HA's, but players still played them. If you fix it, I would fail to see why more players would not want to come and play"

I would really want. that at least one GM would read this and rest of the topics around fourm and make use of it. Cause WE ,players are going to decide if the game will last month or few years. Not you Devs. We are just tryin to point out something

Going to be updated with time.
