So my british gun ship captain has reached lvl79, the "free" Weapon and Support officer slots are open and filled.

What shall I do now with the additional points the captain gets when leveling up?

The next Special officer slot needs 14 or 15 points, and I have little use for it except faster base capturing maybe.

Additional Pilots on a DD, Cx or BB doesn't make much sense either, I guess.

I don't care much about becoming flag ship, so the Command option seems also not very attractive.

Does it make sense to increase e.g. the points in "Weapon" beyond the point when the last officer slot is opened (40)? The general description above the different abilities says that "Each point increases the ability of the corresbonding branch." So would that improve accuracy and reload speed?
