Has anyone noticed that bots can enter a state of permanent overheat? It usually occurs when their DP goes critically low. You can tell they're overheating from the black smoke they emit and accompanying sound effects.

Perhaps it's an intentional feature implemented by the devs to make the game more challenging. Although, on some occasions it can get frustrating if you're the only human player left standing and the bots flee from you at 39 knots without slowing down. It can be pretty hard on the ears, too.
