Medium Bomber Carpet Bombing Runs - Unrealistic, Unfair

I've been playing for about three, maybe four hours. I played the first NavyField on and off for months, trying to grind through to a real ship and stopped at around the Emden when the grind went nowhere.
Navyfield2 comparatively is genuinely fun, the grind has been whisked away, and the interface--though translated badly--can be understood after some tinkering. Gameplay is fun, but there's a glaring problem.

Medium bomber carpet bombs aren't fun and don't provide meaningful gameplay.
For early, low-tier ships, having a game mechanic that you cannot dodge, have little warning for, and basically kills anything that isn't larger than a light cruiser--which bear in mind, most new players will be in destroyers--is a major turn-off.

It should be removed, and perhaps replaced with a longer-lasting area detection, similar to how the radar sweep works. Instead of lasting a second or two and only shows on the map, it would provide an area of effect visibility--size and length is not something I would know of something fair.

Anything to remove this frankly unfair, completely unrealistic mechanic would be appreciated by new players and people that like captaining smaller ships.

Thanks for reading, feedback would be appreciated.
